Synopsis

Defending the Caveman returns to San Francisco for a limited two week engagement at the Marines Memorial Theatre. Hailed "a comic phenomenon" by The New York Times and an "outrageously funny and surprisingly sweet exploration of the gender gap" by the Chicago Sun Times, Defending the Caveman, is the longest running solo play in Broadway history. It is written by Bay Area native Rob Becker and will star actor Isaac Lamb as the caveman.

Celebrating the inherent differences between men and women, Defending the Caveman, takes a prehistoric look at the battle of the sexes, exploring all the ways that men and women fight, laugh, and love. Written by Bay Area comedian Rob Becker, Defending the Caveman originally opened in San Francisco in 1991 and played to sold-out crowds around the United States before opening on Broadway in 1995.

Running for 702 performances, Defending the Caveman played for two and a half years on Broadway, making it the longest running solo play in Broadway's history; this blockbuster comedy is now a worldwide hit with productions in 30 countries, including Canada, South Africa, Iceland, Sweden, and Germany, and has been translated into more than 15 different languages.
